Senior Center

The Panther Valley Senior Center announced the menu for April 8-12.

Monday: Veal Parmesan, Pasta, Peas, Diced Pears or Beef Club Sandwich

Tuesday: Garlic Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Pudding or Ham and Cheese Sandwich

Wednesday: Lasagna, Broccoli and Cauliflower, Salad, Pound Cake or Chicken Caesar salad

Thursday: Vegetable Soup, Cheesesteak, Potato Wedges, Orange or Pastrami and Swiss Sandwich

Friday: Chicken Marsala, Buttered Potatoes, Vegetable Blend, Strawberries or Salad with Chicken

The senior center also announced the following events.

Senior Game Practice on April 5 at 10 a.m.

Scattergories on April 8 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on April 9 at 10:45 a.m.; Po-kenno on April 10 at 11 a.m.; Win, Lose or Draw on April 11 at 11 a.m.; Sunshine Meeting on April 12 at 10 a.m. followed by Senior Game Practice.

Cards, Pool, Games, available daily from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. New members are welcome.

Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus Panther Valley Council is hosting a Pitch, Hit and Run Competition for boys and girls ages 7 to 14 at the Lansford Little League Complex on April 27.

The event is sponsored by Major League Baseball.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the competition begins at 9 a.m. Officials need the child’s proof of age to register.

The event is free but food and refreshments will be available on site.

St. Joseph Parish Cemeteries

A reminder that St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley cemeteries should be cleaned up of out of season items. Any items you wish to keep from a loved one’s grave should be removed by April 15. Any items left will be thrown away in preparation of the upcoming summer season.

Items can be returned to graves beginning May 1.
