Russell J. Rauch of Slatington won the best of show in the color slide competition during the 19th annual exhibit of the Palmerton Camera Club held in the parish hall of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Palmerton.

His shot, entitled “Hickory Run,” was entered in Class B, the beginner’s class.

Wilbur Boyer was named first place winner in the color print competition with “Purple Mountain Majesty, while first place in the black and white category went to Foster A. Olson with his salon print entitled “Daughter K.”

There were 13 prints and 20 black and white salon prints entered in the exhibit.

The judge was Henry C. Miner Jr., Old Greenwich, Connecticut, a member of the Photographic Society of America.
