State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating an identity theft case in which a 32-year-old Kunkletown man is the victim.

Police said they were called to a property on Maple Spring Drive, Polk Township, where the victim told them an unknown person used his personal identifiable information to open a Verizon account in his name.

Police said the man did not suffer any loss as a result of the action.
