No one was injured in a three-vehicle crash at 4:51 p.m. July 2 on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, state police at the Pocono barracks said.
Aaron E. Young, 22, of Bloomsburg, was cited for following too closely after the crash at mile marker 71.6 in East Penn Township, police said.
He was driving a 2023 Ram 1500 that hit the back of a 2024 Ford Expedition driven by a 16-year-old boy from North East, Maryland, after the latter had slowed because of traffic, according to police.
The Expedition then hit a 2018 Mazda3 operated by Jackson S. Newell, 26, of Philadelphia, police said.
The Ram had disabling front-end damage, while the Ford and Mazda had minor damage.
