Trees are down throughout Carbon County, with the fire department reporting several down in Frankling Township and Lehighton, due to a fast-moving thunderstorm that moved through shortly before 7 p.m. Friday.

PPL is reporting 43,000 customers without power, with 3,400 in Carbon County, 8,500 in Monroe County, 4,400 in Lehigh County, and over 3,000 in each Northampton and Schuylkill counties.
