Local Roundup: Results from June 30
Franklin Township and Northern Valley both earned wins Tuesday in Lehigh Valley Junior Connie Mack action.

Franklin Twp.-Silver Creek
Franklin Township extended its win streak to four games, as it registered a 7-4 win over Silver Creek.
Franklin took the lead with a three-run first. With two outs, Owen Moyer, Brian Mriss and Alex Kish hit back-to-back-to-back singles to produce the first run. Myles Meek followed with a fielder’s choice RBI, before Mriss capped the frame when he scored on a wild pitch.
Moyer and Mriss got the fifth going with back-to-back singles, and Moyer eventually scored on a throwing error. Mriss raced in on a Landan Steigerwalt fielder’s choice RBI, while a Miles Mann RBI pushed the advantage to 7-2.

Palmerton-Northern Valley
Northern Valley raced out to a big lead, added on later and held on for a 14-8 victory over Palmerton.
The Chargers scored eight times in the first inning, but the Bombers answered back with a six-run second.
Northern Valley regained its comfortable lead with a four-run fifth. Connor Hausman’s two-run double keyed the decisive inning, while Wagner Stracco added a fielder’s choice RBI.
Palmerton capitalized on five walks, two errors and a Cade Serfass double in its six-run second frame.
Walter Haas, Cole Singleton, Trentin Pasquaiello, Travis Blake, Dillon Welsh and Brady Ivancich all crossed home for the Bombers in that inning.

FBT Blue-Jim Thorpe
FBT Blue pushed its winning streak to five, as the visitors needed only three innings to cruise to a 19-1 victory over Jim Thorpe.
The winners plated 11 runs in the third inning, thanks to nine hits and four walks to seal the decision.
Ryan Curley paced FBT Blue with a double, triple, two runs and five RBIs, while Patrick Roeder had two hits, two runs and three RBIs.
Jaxon O’Shura and Karson Grant accounted for Jim Thorpe’s two hits.

Northern Lehigh was held to just one hit as North Bethlehem gained an 11-1 victory.
Parker Chambers led the way for the winners, finishing with two singles, a run and three RBIs. Winning pitcher Jayden Ortiz chipped in with two hits, two runs and an RBI.
Northern Lehigh spoiled the no-hit bid and shutout in the top of the fifth, as Cameron Hutchinson tripled and scored on a throwing error.

Frackville Red-Tamaqua
Kolton Fetterolf pitched a four-hitter and struck out eight as Frackville Red edged Tamaqua, 3-2.
Tamaqua’s Jayden Rex also pitched well in defeat, allowing six hits and only one earned run.
Tamaqua broke a scoreless tie in the fifth on Evan Shannon’s RBI single which scored Ryder Holmberg, who doubled.
Frackville took the lead in the sixth and led 3-1 heading into the home seventh. Tamaqua pushed across a run on Chayse Smith’s fielder’s choice but couldn’t manage a tying score.

Carbon-Minersville
Maddie Graver pitched a no-hitter to lead Minersville to an 11-0 victory over Carbon in the first game of a best-of-three series.
Graver walked one and struck out nine.
The winners scored all the runs they would need in the opening inning when they crossed home five times. Mallory Hopkins had a two-run single in the frame, while Graver and Finley Frantz both added RBI hits.
Carbon’s only baserunner was Lindsay Baumgardt, who walked in the third.
The second game in the series will be played tonight. Carbon must win to force a third game.
