Local Roundup: Results from June 27-28

Franklin Township’s Mason Neff pitched a no-hitter Sunday against Northampton in a Lehigh Valley Junior Connie Mack contest.

In Senior CM play, Palmerton gained a walk-off win against Moore Township.

Mason Neff fired a no-hitter Sunday to lead Franklin Township to a 10-0 shutout over Northampton.

Neff struck out two and walked two to help Franklin to its third consecutive victory, and its second straight 10-0 shutout.

FT erupted for seven runs in the second inning. Myles Meek went 3-for-3 with an RBI, while Alex Kish added a hit and knocked in two runs.

Landon Steigerwalt chipped in with a double, a run and an RBI, and Jakoby Andrews scored a run and knocked in two.

Southern Lehigh stormed out to an early lead, and went on to post a 17-2 victory over Jim Thorpe.

In the first, Southern Lehigh put six runs on the board, and followed with a six-run third. It then tacked on five more runs in the fourth to close out the scoring.

Jamie Driscoll paced Southern Lehigh with two hits and four RBIs.

Daniel Off had two of Jim Thorpe’s four hits.

Lehigh White blew open the game with a five-run fourth, and went on to a 14-3 victory over Northern Lehigh.

Northern Lehigh closed to within 4-3 lead in the home second with a three-run stanza, highlighted by a Rhys Regan solo homer.

Lehigh White tacked on five runs in the sixth inning to seal the victory.

Regan and Bradley Conroy had the lone hits for Northern Lehigh.

Lehigh Blue jumped out to a 8-0 lead and went on to blank Palmerton, 13-0.

Jayden Brujan, who went 4-for-4 with two RBIs, hit a two-run double in Lehigh’s four-run first. They followed with a four-run second to remain undefeated on the season.

Charlie Coombe, Nathan Shafer and Walter Haas each had a hit for Palmerton.

Palmerton-Moore Township

Colton Becker had a walk-off single to push Palmerton to a 7-6, 10th-inning victory over winless Moore Township

Moore Township’s Xavier Abruzzi hit a sacrifice fly to tie the game at 5-5 in the top of the seventh. Both teams tallied a run in the ninth.

Palmerton had staked itself to a 5-0 lead after four innings, and took advantage of five Northampton errors to capture its second straight victory.

The Bombers managed just four hits, but swiped 12 bases, led by Jesse Bechtold’s three, and Becker and Braydin Locke each had two. Jayden Becker, Robbie George and Conner Walterick had the other Palmerton hits.

Berlinsville plated the winning run in the bottom of the seventh to post a 4-3 walk-off victory over the Limeport Dodgers on Sunday.

Owen Ness went 2-for-3, and Sam Erschen, Lincoln Kuster and Austin Mueller each knocked in a run for the Braves.

Palmerton grad Luke Netznik evened his season record at 3-3 with a complete-game victory, scattering nine hits, striking out three, and walking three. Palmerton’s Jason Carrelli also added a hit and a run.
