June 29, 2007 — A number of area players contribute to the Red’s 30-14 victory over the Gold in the 37th annual Lehigh Valley McDonald’s All-Star Football Classic. Northern Lehigh’s Justin Bayda, Palmerton’s Avery Weber and Northwestern’s Brian Barr all make key plays on special teams for the winners. The Tigers’ Chris Horn boots a 27-yard field goal in the second quarter and finishes the contest with three PATs. Barr comes up with a fumble recovery on a punt, while Pleasant Valley’s Todd Koenig registers a sack. The Bombers’ Zach Heller adds an 11-yard run and tosses a 24-yard pass that sets up one of the Red team’s scores.
