A tractor-trailer rig crashed along Keystone Boulevard in Foster Township, Schuylkill County on Sunday.
State police at Frackville said Anthony L. Lash, 42, of Freeland, Luzerne County, was driving a 2015 Freightliner tractor with trailer westbound when he lost control. The rig ran off the right side and struck a curb, traffic sign and fire hydrant. It continued westbound off the road and struck a concrete barrier with an attached gate. It then struck a second concrete barrier continuing west. The tractor then traveled on the left side of a concrete barrier and the trailer continued over top of and to the right of the barrier.
The tractor then struck a second curb and the rear wheels of the trailer struck a large rock. This impact caused the tractor to overturn onto its right side where it came to rest.
Lash was not injured. The tractor and trailer had to be towed.
Troopers cited Lash for careless driving.
