The new mini-pumper ordered in January by the Andreas Fire Company arrived at the company headquarters yesterday.
The new addition to the company’s equipment cost $33,111 and was obtained from Hemerly Custom Productions, Shartlesville.
The vehicle is a 300 series power wagon of Dodge and is equipped with a 400-cubic-inch engine. It has four-wheel drive, power steering, power brakes and a three-speed transmission.
A 400-gallon-per-minute, two-stage Waterous pump is an added feature.
A convenient device is a 4,000-watt generator which can be started by the driver in the console of the cab.
A four-ton electronic winch is front mounted on the unit.
