Weatherly erupted for 10 runs in the second inning and cruised to a convincing victory over West End on Friday in the District 18 Little League Softball Tournament.

West End-Weatherly
Cassidy Witner had two hits and knocked in four runs to help Weatherly roll to a 16-1 victory over West End.
Witner had a two-run single in the first as Weatherly grabbed a 3-0 lead. The winners then put the game away with 10 runs in the second, with two of them scoring on a Witner hit.
Myah Makowiec also delivered a two-run single during the big frame
Mackenzie Clabia earned the pitching decision, allowing just one hit in three innings of work. She walked three and struck out three.
Jenna Jones also added a pair of hits, three runs and two RBIs.
The victory keeps Weatherly in the winner’s bracket, where they’ll play Towamensing today.
For West End, Ryleigh Marone had a hit and an RBI.

Hellertown-Palmerton
Palmerton nearly erased an early six-run deficit before dropping an 11-10 decision to Hellertown in a Senior Connie Mack League game.
The Bombers fell behind 6-0 before scoring six times in the second inning to draw even. Liam McDonough (walk), Cade Serfass (single) and Jayden Rivera (double, two RBIs), Hunter Vasquez (double) and Robbie George (groundout) each drove in runs during the comeback.
Hellertown answered with two runs in the fifth and three more in the sixth before Palmerton scored four times in the bottom of the sixth to get within a run.
Serfass led Palmerton by going 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Rivera added two hits, including a two-run double, while Dillon Uhnak collected two hits. McDonough finished with two RBIs, and Hunter Vasquez drove in a run.
Chase Miller paced Hellertown with three hits, two RBIs and two runs scored. Mason Brown also went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs scored.

Franklin Twp.-Lehigh Bethlehem
Franklin Township mounted a late rally but couldn’t overcome a five-run deficit in a 6-4 loss to Lehigh Bethlehem.
FT took a 1-0 lead in the second when Brayden Ulshafer drove in a run with a groundout. Lehigh Bethlehem answered with a run in the third before scoring three times in the fourth and adding two more in the fifth to build a 6-1 advantage.
Franklin scored three runs in the sixth to pull within two. Grant Birnbaum led FT at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored. Chase Llewellyn finished with a hit, RBI and run scored, while Braylon Hunsicker and Logan Bellis (run scored) also recorded hits.
David Dunham went 2-for-3 with a double, triple and two RBIs and two runs scored to pace Lehigh Bethlehem. Xavier Ryan earned the win, striking out eight.

Northern Lehigh-Southern Lehigh
Southern Lehigh scored in each of the first three innings and used a five-run sixth to seal an 11-1 victory over Northern Lehigh and remain unbeaten.
The Spartans built a 5-0 lead before Northern Lehigh broke through in the fourth. Pablo Rivera doubled and scored, while Ryder Gall drove in the Bulldogs’ lone run with a single.
Gall, Rivera, Jayden Weaver and Adrian Hassold accounted for Northern Lehigh’s four hits. Rivera also stole two bases.
Southern Lehigh’s 11-hit attack was led by Adam Fritts, who went 4-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored.

SCHUYLKILL SR TEENER LEAGUE
Mrs. T’s-Tamaqua
Tamaqua scored five runs in the first inning and went on to post a 7-5 victory over Mrs. T’s.
Aiden Smith delivered a two-run double during the opening frame, while Keith Fink added a single that knocked in two.
After the visitors came back to force a tie, Tamaqua pushed across a pair of runs in the sixth to pull out the win.
The go-ahead run scored on Smith’s ground out. Colton Gerber followed with an RBI single for an insurance tally.
Gerber finished with two hits. Evan Shannon earned the pitching win, allowing just one earned run in five innings.

Freemansburg/Bethlehem Township Blue took advantage of five Franklin Township errors to gain a 10-7 victory.
Connor Morgan had a pair of hits and a run for the winners, while Chase Coleman added a triple and scored twice. Liam Walczak contributed a double and two runs.
For Franklin, Owen Moyer had a double, a run and an RBI. Myles Meek ended with a hit and two runs, with Grant Hunter chipping in a hit and an RBI.
