Local Roundup: Results from June 16
Palmerton’s Junior Connie Mack team and Tamaqua’s Senior Teener League squad both posted win on Tuesday.
The Bombers topped Silver Creek, while the Tams edged Branch Township.

Palmerton jumped out to a big lead and held on for a 7-4 victory over Silver Creek.
Cade Serfass sparked the Bombers with three hits. Serfass had an RBI triple in the first, a run-scoring single in the third, and a double in the seventh. He also scored a pair of runs.
Johnny Bieling added two hits to the winning cause.
For Silver Creek, Mason Pursell had three hits and scored twice.

North Parkland scored two runs in the seventh inning to earn an 8-7 victory over Franklin Township.
Franklin had battled back from a 6-0 deficit to score seven unanswered runs and take a lead.
Alex Kish and Brody Hunsicker had fielder’s choice RBIs during a three-run third inning, while Brian Mriss added an RBI single.
Owen Moyer’s two-run single was the key hit during a four-run fourth for FT.
Mriss, Moyer, Roman White and Landon Steigerwalt all ended with two hits for Franklin.

Braden Wilvert knocked in four runs to help spark Nazareth to a 11-1 victory over Northern Lehigh.
The winners were actually outhit 5-4 but took advantage of 11 walks.
Wilvert ended up with a single, a double, a walk and a run.
Rhys Regan paced Northern Lehigh with a double, while Chase Coberts, Korbyn Horack, Ethan Kromer and Bradley Conroy all added singles.

The winners connected for three two-run shots, as Andrew Erfle, Xavier Ryan and David Dunham all went deep.
Paul Porobenski led Northern Lehigh with a single, a walk and two runs. Tyler Bonelli chipped in with a single, a walk and two RBIs.

Zayden Wolf crossed home with the game-winning run in the seventh inning, as Tamaqua pulled out a 5-4 victory over Branch Township.
Wolf was hit by a pitch to start the frame, and then Aidan Smith and Colton Gerber drew back-to-back walks to load the bases. After a pitching change, Brady Bartczak waited out four balls to produce what turned out to be the game-winning run.
Tamaqua, held to just two hits by Bartczak and Chayse Smith, made the most of 10 walks.
