June 11, 1985 — Bill Fauzio pitches a three-hitter to help Lehighton gain an 11-1 Lehigh Valley Legion victory over host Fountain Hill. Fauzio, whose shutout bid is spoiled in the seventh inning, walks one and strikes out three. Trevor Lawrence gives him an early lead with a two-run single in the first inning. The score remains 2-0 until the winners explode for six sixth-inning runs. Fauzio helps his own cause in the frame with one of Lehighton’s five hits. Jeff Sczeczina leads the offensive output with three hits, two of them doubles, and three stolen bases. Lawrence adds a pair of hits and four RBIs, while Jeff Hill also ends with two hits.
