State police at Fogelsville responded to a crash at 11:32 a.m. Nov. 13 at the intersection of Route 222 and Kressler Road in Lower Macungie Township. Donald E. Shultz, 68, of Nescopeck, Luzerne County, was southbound on Route 222 and attempting a left turn onto Kressler Road when the front end of his 2004 Honda Civic struck the driver side door of a 2015 Land Rover driven northbound on 222 by Diane J. Pappas, 52, of Slatington. After impact the Land Rover continued north and spun counterclockwise and stopped in a grassy area off the right shoulder. The Honda came to rest at the point of impact.

Shultz and Pappas sustained minor injuries and were taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital.

Shultz was cited.
