Palmerton police make arrests, issue citations

Palmerton Police reported the following incidents:

• Jared Troost, 26, of Palmerton, cited for disorderly conduct on Dec. 8 in the 600 block of Delaware Avenue.

• Jarred Strohl, 25, of Palmerton, cited for driving a vehicle that had an expired inspection sticker and expired registration, and driving a vehicle without insurance on Dec. 9 in the 600 block of Delaware Avenue.

• Michael Smith, 26, of Walnuport, charged with burglary, criminal trespass, criminal mischief and loitering and prowling at night between Oct. 26-28 in the 800 block of Mauch Chunk Road.

• Ryan Rehrig, 37, of Hunter Creek, charged with forgery, identity theft, criminal conspiracy, theft by deception and theft of services, dating back to August, 2012.

• Charles Apgar III, 19, of Pedricktown, New Jersey, cited for unlawful activities on Dec. 8 on Route 248.

• Lisa-Marie Nicholson, 45, of Slatington, cited by police officers on Dec. 8 on Route 248.

• Vera Barros, 27, of Palmerton, cited for unlawful activities and windshield obstruction and wipers on Dec. 7 in the 400 block of Delaware Avenue.

• Christopher Dearringer, 24, of Palmerton, cited for driving under suspension, two counts of unlawful activities, driving a vehicle that had an expired registration, failure to produce a registration card, operation a vehicle following suspension or registration and unauthorized transfer or use of registration on Dec. 11 at Sixth Street and Delaware Avenue.

• Ronald Betz, 63, of Palmerton, charged with driving under the influence, careless driving on Dec. 2 at Franklin Avenue and Mauch Chunk Road.

• Portia Green, 55, of Allentown, charged with three counts of driving under suspension and driving a vehicle that had an expired inspection sticker on Nov. 17 on Route 248.

Police issued five citations for speeding, three for expired inspection stickers, one for accidents involving property damage and one for junk vehicles.
