The Garland-Manak-Boyle-Zonca-Whitehead American Legion Post 123, Lansford, will conduct its annual Memorial Day service on Monday, May 25, at 9 a.m. at the veterans monument located in Kennedy Park.

The guest speaker will be Dale Giordano, a retired U.S. Marine Corps major who served 20 years of active duty as a pilot, primarily flying the A-6 intruder, a tactical jet attack aircraft.

Residents are urged to fly the American flag at their residences, and are more than welcome to attend the service in the park.

In case of inclement weather, the program will be held inside American Legion Post 123, which is located at 3 W. Ridge St.
