State police at the Fern Ridge barracks are investigating a threatening statement made by a passer-by regarding the Pleasant Valley Middle School, Chestnuthill Township.

Police said they were made aware the incident that occurred on Monday when a vehicle passed the school.

Police said that their investigation is ongoing and police would like parents/guardians and neighboring community members to know the incidents are taken seriously.

They said that while a large police presence existed at the school, the school was deemed to be safe and secure.
