No injuries in Route 903-Maury crash

State police at the Lehighton barracks said no one was hurt in a two-vehicle crash at 7:17 a.m. on April 23 at the intersection of Route 903 and Maury Road, Penn Forest Township.

Police said the crash occurred when a 16-year-old boy from Palmerton was driving a 2004 Dodge Neon that stopped at Maury Road and attempted to turn onto Route 903 when it was struck on its driver’s side front fender and bumper by a 2013 Ford Expedition driven northbound by Terry L. Phillips, 51, of Lansford.

Police said the Neon became disabled in the middle of the roadway and had damage to its entire front end. The Expedition also had disabling damage. Police said a local towing service assisted them at the scene.

The 16-year-old was cited for a stop sign violation, while Phillips was cited for not having a valid license, according to police.
