Her time of 10:29.2 in the 3000-meter run sets a new record at the relays, and she teams with Stacy Lake, Pam Schanstine and Shari Barbosa to claim the distance medley relay (800, 400, 1200, 800) in 12:55.2. Messinger also takes second in the 1500 and joins with Chrissy Visnosky, Maureen Taylor and Barbosa to finish second in the 3200 relay in a season-best time of 10:16.93.
