April 27, 1976 — Panther Valley’s softball team uses a three-run sixth inning to help gain a 5-2 victory over Blue Mountain. Mary Bonner opens the scoring in the sixth with an RBI single that plates Bert Spezialetti, and Bonner comes home on a hit off the bat of Jeanne Piscelli. Kathy Albright adds another hit in the frame and her pinch-runner Ann Kupec eventually scores for the third run of the inning. Piscelli ends with three hits, while Collette Cormier, Bonner and Spezialetti all finish with two. In the circle, Bonner tosses a three-hitter and strikes out 10.
