April 20, 2001 — Northern Lehigh pushes across two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to pull out a 2-1 Colonial League victory over rival Northwestern. Trailing by a run, Kara Kern singles for the Bulldogs, moves to third on an error and comes home with the tying run on a ground out off the bat of Ashley Hughes. Nolehi, coached by Maureen Leaswitch, goes ahead moments later when Pam Grammes delivers an RBI single. Kern gains the win, allowing five hits and one run with four strikeouts in six innings. Hughes tosses a scoreless seventh to preserve the win.
