Bowmanstown borough hires assistant secretary

Bowmanstown Borough Council approved several personnel changes Tuesday, including the addition of an assistant secretary, Rebecca Gruber, and the resignation of Darren Thomas from council and the water authority.

As the borough sought to hire new public works employees, it utilized the services of consultants Craig Labar of Portland Contractors and Mark Krofchok of Utilities Management Services to help with the wastewater management process.

Council hired two full-time public works employees, Doug Larsen and Tim Phillips. Their salaries were not announced.

In addition, Rob Moyer was appointed to the water authority.
