Towamensing Township supervisors discussed the following this month:
• Lisa Tupper, Log Fence Road, expressed ongoing concerns about a property with tents, Winnebagos, campers and the smell from pig feces. Zoning Officer Jim Melbar said that a violation was sent, but there was no response. Further action will be taken on this matter.
• A resolution passed for the 2026 fee schedule with increases for the first time in over 10 years. Zoning permits will be $300, occupancy permits, $75, nonresidential $150. Fence permits will cost $200 and swimming pool permits $300. For a full schedule of fees go to the township website.
• A resolution for an escalator clause for annual street paving was passed.
• The following streets will be chipped or paved; Charlotte Court, Sylvia Lane, Daniel Circle, David Circle, Nathan Circle, Peter Avenue, James Street, Anderson Drive, Barbara Avenue, Michael Lane and Sherry Lane.
• A Tricky Tray will be held at the firehouse on April 25 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., sponsored by the Historical Commission to raise funds for ongoing preservation of the Greenzweig Schoolhouse. The railings and doors of the one room schoolhouse are being worked on.
