The Monroe County Coroner’s Office, in conjunction with the Pennsylvania State Police Forensic Services Unit, has identified the man whose body was found deceased in the Brodhead Creek earlier this month.

The Monroe County Coroner’s Office was called at 4:04 p.m. Saturday, for a deceased man, later to be identified as Jan Kolendowicz, 31, who was believed to be residing in Analomink.

Kolendowicz was pronounced deceased on scene, at 5:19 p.m. Saturday.

No further information is available at this time, due to pending investigation.

An autopsy was completed on Tuesday.

The cause and manner of death are currently pending.

Pennsylvania State Police at Stroudsburg is investigating. A report had not been released as of press time.
