Republicans want economic development and private investment for artificial intelligence and are afraid HB 1834 would stifle growth and deter tech companies from building in our state. Fox 43 News
Pennsylvania is already a key market for data centers due to its proximity to power generation. These greedy billionaires (new gas drilling permits continue) aren’t going anywhere.
The bill offers “a new regulatory framework which shields families and small business from subsidizing the commercial Data Center Industry.” It protects the power grid and puts important safeguards in place before the industry explodes. It requires data centers to fund their own infrastructure upgrades.
The bill mandates 32% of the energy for these facilities, come from clean energy to help protect the air quality threat posed by data centers. The bill goes to the Republican controlled Senate and having to deal with environmental science research will give them a mind storm meltdown.
“Economists Once Dismissed the A.I. Job Threat, but Not Anymore.” New York Times April 3, 2026.
Major academic institutions, labor market firms and international organizations found A.I. has already caused significant job displacement, increasing corporate profits.
Pay meticulous attention to Congressional votes, because a massive historic wealth transfer is about to happen, which will concentrate extreme wealth even more and widen income inequality.
Presidential candidate Andrew Yang’s comment back in 2020 on universal basic income doesn’t sound so crazy for the future.
A proposed wealth tax will try to be stopped with massive amounts of dark money to politicians.
Our Democratic candidate in Monroe County for the 176th was injured and had to withdraw. Please add “Thomas Kucer” on the (write in line) for the May 19 primary. Tom is a long time union sheet metal worker with a degree in Construction Management.
Rep. Jack Rader had 6 terms in the House, his voting record reveals precisely who he protects.
