Bucks woman faces car theft charges

A Bucks County woman faces criminal charges after police say she took a car following an incident at fast food restaurant in Mahoning Township last summer.

Gabriella Mettin, of Easton Road, Kintnersville, was arraigned last week by District Judge Beth Dodson on charges of theft by unlawful taking and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

She was committed to the Carbon County Correctional Facility in Nesquehoning in lieu of $20,000.

According to court papers, she was a passenger in a vehicle parked at a fast-food restaurant when she began yelling that the driver was a murderer, a rapist and a molester.

The driver got out of the vehicle, which was parked with the key in the ignition, to talk to a restaurant employee, when Mettin turned on the vehicle, slowly backed out the parking space and sped away, court papers said.

The incident happened July 23, 2025.
