Two teens injured in Ross Twp. crash

A car rolled over in Ross Township, injuring two teenagers, according to state police at the Lehighton barracks.

A 17-year-old girl from Roseto and a 17-year-old boy from East Bangor were injured in the one-vehicle crash at 6:04 p.m. on March 28 on Mount Eaton Road, police said.

The two were transported by personnel from the Lehigh Valley Health Network EMS corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Pocono Campus, East Stroudsburg.

The crash occurred when the girl was driving a 2006 Ford Focus, in which the boy was a passenger.

Police said the car was northbound when the girl lost control on a right curve while approaching a bridge. She told police that there was an issue with the steering mechanism that resulted in the car hitting a guide rail and rolling over onto a creek bank.

The car was towed from the scene.

Police said the girl was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.
