Sister M. Regina Alma, I.H.M., a faculty member at Marian Catholic High School, Hometown, has been selected as one of 10 finalists in the search for the outstanding high school chemistry teacher in Eastern Pennsylvania.

The word was received today by the Rev. Frederick A. Winkler, principal, from Dr. D.S. Frederick, chairman of the Chemical Industry Council of Eastern Pennsylvania and vice president of Rohm and Haas Company, Philadelphia.

Over 50 nominations were received by the council in its search through more than 500 public and private schools in the 35-county region.

Sister Regina Alma has taught in high school for 26 years, including the last seven at Marian, where she is the head of the diocesan school’s science department.
