Emergency personnel were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash with injuries Friday afternoon in Nesquehoning.

The head-on collision occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Route 209 near the intersection with West Catawissa Street.

Responding were the Nesquehoning and Jim Thorpe fire companies and Lehighton paramedics. Nesquehoning fire police maintained traffic control at the scene shutting down a portion of the roadway.

Nesquehoning police are investigating the incident.
