The Pleasant Valley School Board approved the following personnel changes last week:

• Athletic volunteers — Misty Falcone-Smith, volunteer coach, boys lacrosse.

• Change of assignment — Daisy Genovese, teacher of gifted students, PVHS, change in schedule, $250 stipend, effective March 3 to May 4.

• Hiring of administrative/administrative support staff — Jeffery Hicks, security officer (10 month), districtwide, $18.53 per hour ($.45 differential), effective April 7, replacing Rahim Sabovic.

Also, Aaron Korty, security officer, previously approved to replace Rahim Sabovic but now corrected replacement of Scott Kroth; William Alexander Jr., police officer (10 month), districtwide, $30.06 per hour, effective April 1, replacing Robert Mahady.

• Hiring of support staff — Kevin Meyer, paraprofessional, PVES, $27,586, effective March 16, new position; Teresa Broome, cafeteria worker, PVES, $13.47 per hour, effective March 27, replaced Lynn Roos.

Also, Valerie Collins, monitor, PVES, $12.11 per hour, March 30, replaced Linette Molinuevo.

• Intramural advisers — Football: Kyle DeVatt, PVMS.

• Resignations — Savannah Bauman, junior varsity head lacrosse coach, effective Jan. 7; Alexis Nemeth, special education teacher, PVIS, effective April 7; and Shannon Simpson, National Key Club adviser, PVHS, effective March 19.

• Retirement — Danielle Staples, special education teacher, PVES, effective end of the 2025-26 school year.

• Supplemental contracts: non-athletic — National Key Club: Aiden Moulton, PVHS, $375.72.

• Volunteers — Busra Turkyolu, Shannon Severino, Ryan Heller, Marissa Shannon, Jeneria Rivera Williams, Ashley Longenbach.

The school board also made an appointment to the Western Pocono Community Library Board.

The board appointed Timothy Hatcher to fill the term vacated by Debby York. The term will expire in December.
