Blue Mtn. pond skim attracts record attendance
Blue Mountain Resort closed out the 2025-2026 season with its Pond Skim, which attracted a record attendance for the annual event.
Ashley Seier, director of marketing, said 377 skiers and snowboarders attempted to make it across the pond during the event on Sunday. The event opened with a $5,000 donation to the Aquashicola Volunteer Fire Company for new bunker gear.
The pond skim began at Vista Trail, just outside of Slopeside Pub & Grill, where skiers and snowboarders ages 10 and older were invited to don creative costumes and attempt to skim across a 100-foot pond after descending Vista Trail.
Families can celebrate Easter with a colorful Easter Egg Hunt on the Snow on April 5 at Blue Mountain Resort.
The hunt begins at Summit Courtyard near Summit Lodge at the top of the mountain, where children ages 1 to 12 will search for brightly colored eggs scattered across the snow.
After the hunt, families can head to Slopeside Pub & Grill for lunch, where kids eat free with the purchase of an entrée (one complementary kids meal per entrée purchase).
Advance registration is recommended and available online.
