Kidder adopts data rules, liquor license request
A hearing was held in Kidder Township for an intermunicipal liquor license transfer from Franklin Township, Carbon County, to SAI Albrightsville, LLC 2772 Route 903, Kidder Township.
The transfer is for the Sunoco gas station at routes 903 and 534.
Board member Noel Torres questioned the applicant, Prince Patel, and his attorney, Jessica Pleskach, about a parking zoning change request from 2025 and if there is a requirement for the number of spots to hold a liquor license.
Pleskach said the zoning change request was made in error and new parking spots were removed.
Currently there are 28 spots at the convenience store. Within 30 days of selling takeout beer all employees will be trained on the LCB policy and procedures. The board approved the request.
Data centers
The township adopted a data center and accessory use ordinance.
Specifications include a definition of a battery storage system and closed-loop water cooling system. Noise and vibration, and maximum sound level limits are specified.
The amendment includes that, “The applicant shall demonstrate what burden, if any, the proposed power transmission infrastructure will place on existing electrical supply infrastructure serving the community.”
The board thanked residents for input on the amendment.
The revised ordinance can be found on the township website.
