Monroe County Founders’ Day celebration will be held Wednesday, with the special day honoring the county’s history and bringing together the community together for learning, food, and entertainment.

The day begins at 10 a.m. with a slide presentation titled “A Ride Through Monroe County on the DL&W,” presented by railroad historian Kim Williams.

This engaging program will be held in Historic Courtroom One, located at 610 Monroe St. in Stroudsburg.

From 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. the celebration continues on the Courthouse Plaza with a lively gathering featuring county department representatives, food trucks, birthday cake and live music by Wayfarers & Co. It’s a great opportunity to connect with neighbors, learn more about local services and enjoy a festive atmosphere.
