Turnpike crashes

State police at the Pocono barracks reported the following crashes that occurred on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike:

• No one was injured when cargo on a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup flew off and struck another vehicle.

Police said it occurred at 1:48 p.m. March 20 at mile marker 68.7 in Washington Township. They did not identify the drivers of the vehicles.

The vehicles were northbound when the cargo flew off the pickup and hit the right side of the windshield of a 2019 BMW.

Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

The driver of the pickup was cited after the incident, police said.

• A 2017 Nissan Altima was damaged in a one-vehicle crash at 8:12 p.m. March 22 at mile marker 68 in Washington Township.

Police did not identify the driver of the vehicle that was northbound when it slid to the left and hit the concrete barrier with its driver’s side front end.
