The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue will provide on-site assistance with property tax and rent rebate claim preparation at Schuylkill County Senior Community Center locations.

The statewide program helps eligible Pennsylvanians receive financial rebates based on the property taxes or rent they paid in the previous year.

The program benefits income-eligible Pennsylvanians age 65 and older; widows and widowers age 50 and older; and people with disabilities age 18 and older.

Total eligible annual household income, including income earned and received by a spouse in the same residence, is $48,110 or less for 2025.

• $0 to $8,550: maximum rebate of $1,000.

• $ 8,551 to $16,040: maximum rebate of $770.

• $16,041 to $19,240: maximum rebate of $460.

• $19,241 to $48,110: maximum rebate of $380

A claimant’s total household income includes all sources of income, but the program allows the exclusion of up to one-half of Social Security benefits, one-half of Supplemental Security Income benefits, one-half of State Supplementary Payment benefits; and one-half of any Railroad Retirement Tier 1 benefits.
