Since 1997, San Francisco’s Third Eye Blind have recorded 10 best-selling studio recordings, two live releases and assembled one career retrospective selling 12 million records worldwide.
Led by Stephan Jenkins, Third Eye Blind won wide success during a tumultuous group of years when the major-label recording industry was finally losing its grip on an enterprise that for decades it had dominated with steely efficiency. Nothing could have made Third Eye Blind happier! Third Eye Blind, however, has experienced no comparable loss. Instead, they have gained artistic clarification — and, surprisingly, a fan base who is larger, younger and more dedicated than ever.
Participation in the older, untouchable realm of nervous star-making could color a band’s identity. In the case of Third Eye Blind, it often blurred the perception of their brilliant musical creations. In recent years, those creations have recast the band among a current generation of fans.
Third Eye Blind now write, tour, record and communicate in a fluid new world where their music continues to evolve naturally. Their exchange with their audience is unfiltered and being from the hub of tech, they are using it to develop a closer connection with their audience.
Led by husband-and-wife duo South Africa-born Jean-Philip Grobler and Germany-born Patti Beranek, St. Lucia retreat from a fractured world on fire and into the glow of a rapturous synth-spiked electro-pop catharsis — like a dance party at the edge of existence. Now signed to Nettwerk Records, the group beams out a light of their own and shines brighter than ever.
A total of 1,449,000 people attended Musikfest in 2025. The 11-day festival featured over 500 free performances across 16 stages located throughout both the north and south-sides of Bethlehem.
The 43rd Musikfest is scheduled for July 31 — Aug. 9. This year’s Musikfest 2026 poster artist is painter and illustrator Doug Boehm. The 2026 design holds added significance as the nation prepares to celebrate America 250, the semi quincentennial of the United States. Boehm’s artwork reflects both the joy of Musikfest and the unifying power of music during this historic moment.
