One person was injured Sunday afternoon in a crash in West Penn Township.

The accident occurred around 2:45 p.m. along Route 309 just south of the intersection with Route 895 in the village of Snyders.

It appeared a car traveling south struck the end of a set of guiderails at the entrance to the Dollar General store, coming to rest in the center of the roadway.

Responding were the West Penn fire company and Penn Mahoning ambulance.

West Penn township police are investigating the incident.
