Woman’s Club of Slatington announces Girls of the Month

The Woman’s Club of Slatington has announced the following Northern Lehigh High School seniors have been named Girls of the Month for January, February and March 2026.

January

Taylor Everk of Slatington has been chosen as the Girl of the Month for January.

Taylor is the daughter of Michael and Terua Everk, and has a sister named Briana.

She is a member of National Honor Society, SADD, Patriot Club, Student Council, Scholastic Scrimmage, and serves as a class officer.

She participates in track and field and Powder Puff Football.

Outside of school, Taylor enjoys hiking, fishing, running, going to the gym and volunteering.

Her future plans include becoming a doctor of physical therapy.

February

Briana Everk of Slatington has been chosen as the Girl of the Month for February.

Briana is the daughter of Michael and Terua Everk, and has a sister named Taylor.

She is a member of National Honor Society, HOSA, Art Club and Emerging Health Professionals Newsletter.

She was a technical crew member of the Northern Lehigh LittleTheatre performance of “Anastasia.”

Outside of school, Briana enjoys art, including painting.

Her future plans include becoming an occupational therapist that specializes in stroke and brain injuries.

March

Olivia Schaeffer of Emerald has been chosen as the Girl of the Month for March.

Olivia is the daughter of AJ and Tiffany Schaeffer, and has two sisters, Cadence and Reagan, and a brother named Seth.

She is a varsity football cheerleader, basketball/wrestling cheerleader and competitive cheer team member.

She is the vice president of her class and is a member of the National Honor Society, marching band, the Patriot Club, German Club, DogDish Morning Show, Students Against Destructive Decisions and concert band.

Olivia earned her Girl Scout Bronze and Silver Awards.

She represented Northern Lehigh at the UCA Spirit Spectacular in Florida for cheerleading in November.

Outside of school, Olivia has participated in Girl Scouts for 12 years. She enjoys spending time with her dogs, Cassie and Persy.

Olivia’s future plans include attending Bay Path University to major in forensic psychology to become a correctional counselor.
