First Saturday worship with Holy Communion at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Lehighton, begins at 4 p.m. Sunday worship with Holy Communion begins at 9:30 a.m. Licensed Lay Minister Kathy Long presides. Coffeehouse fellowship in Luther Hall follows.

Sunday Church School classes for students ages 3 through grade 6 plus confirmation classes for those in grades 7-8 at 10:45 a.m.
Lent: Midweek Holden Evening prayer service will be held through March 25 at 7 p.m., with a 6 p.m. simple soup supper before each devotional.
Church initiatives:
The Food Pantry is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays (and third Tuesday from 5:30-7 p.m.) with an outdoor drive-up setting. Residents who reside in the Lehighton Area School District are eligible to receive supplemental food. Participants must remain in their vehicle at time of pick up. Pantry volunteers will assist pedestrians/those not in vehicles.
Trinity Thrift Store hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays; and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays and Saturdays. Cash only sales. Household goods and clothing donations will be accepted during store hours. There is a five bag limit. Use door 2 to bring clothing inside.
Preschool: Trinity’s Jack and Jill Preschool is now accepting registrations for the 2026-27 school year. Any child who is 3, 4 or 5 years old in the fall is eligible to register. BECC
Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, 222 North St., Lehighton, will host Sunday Morning Worship at 10:30 a.m.
Sunday Morning Christian Education will be held at 9:30 a.m. for all ages.
Coffee and snack is held at 10:15 a.m.
• Tuesday: 7 p.m. prayer meeting.
• Thursday: Men’s Bible Study, 5 a.m.; Second Blessing Free Clothing Ministry, 6-7:30 p.m.
Upcoming event: An Easter musical will take place on Easter Sunday. Practice is open to anyone 18 and older who would like to sing. Practices take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays in the church.

St. John’s
St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mahoning, 826 Mahoning Dr. W., Lehighton, will hold a worship service at 11 a.m. Sunday. Adult Sunday School will take place at 9:30 a.m. in the family room. Bring your Bible if you have one.
Council meeting: 6:30 p.m. March 9. Meeting is open to all members of the church.
Grief Support: 6 p.m. March 16.

Trinity food pantry: Tuna is March’s food of the month.
Spring Bazaar: March 27, 5-7:30 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 28. There will be a basket raffle, Easter candy, bake sale, potato filling, variety of food and a free egg hunt at 11 a.m. for children up to age 12. The church is also collecting donations for the Carbon County Friends of Animals and Carbon County Animal Shelter. Bring a donation and receive a chance to win a gift card to Giant or Walmart. Bring for both shelters and receive two chances. Drawing will be at 2 p.m. on March 28. You need not be present to win.
Dinkey Memorial
Sunday worship at Dinkey Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1742 Dinkey Road, Lehighton, begins at 9 a.m.
Dinkey will also have midweek Lenten service on March 25 at 7 p.m.
Easter sunrise service will be held at 6:30 a.m. followed by a breakfast at 7 a.m. The second Easter service is at 9 a.m. followed by an Easter egg hunt at 10:15 a.m.
Upcoming events:
• Dinkey is selling Rita’s cards and Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Orders are due by April 5; pick up April 16 from 3-6 p.m. Please contact Karen Schleicher at 610-390-1125.
• The church is having a basket raffle on May 15 from 4-7 p.m. and May 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Community Cupboard: Dinkey Memorial has a food cupboard available to those in need who are members of Dinkey Memorial and St. John’s and to residents of East Penn Township. The distribution is the third Thursday of every month from 3:30- 5 p.m. in Dinkey’s Social Room. For more information, speak with Pastor Tony.
