Blakeslee man charged with homicide after shooting woman

A Blakeslee man has been charged with criminal homicide after shooting a woman he was in a relationship with Thursday night.

At 10:37 p.m. the Pocono Mountain Regional Police were dispatched to the 3200 block of Mountain Terrace, Blakeslee.

The caller, Eric Chisolm, 47, said he had shot a burglar who was outside of his window.

Chisolm then advised dispatch that he thought he had shot a delivery person.

Upon arrival, officers found a 46-year-old woman deceased on the driveway of the residence.

The woman’s vehicle was also parked and running in the driveway.

Through investigation, it was determined that the deceased woman was in a relationship with Chisolm.

The investigation also revealed that Chisolm fired his handgun through a window, striking the victim who was outside of the residence.

Chisolm was taken into police custody and is being charged with an open count of criminal homicide.

The victim is not being identified pending the notification of the next of kin.
