One person was injured Saturday afternoon in a crash in Franklin Township.

The incident occurred just after 1 p.m. along Indian Hill Road when a car traveling west struck the rear of a postal van. One person in the car was injured. The victim was treated at the scene by Lehighton paramedics before being transported to a nearby hospital.

Franklin Township fire police maintained traffic control at the scene shutting down the roadway.

Franklin township police are investigating the incident.
