Coaldale commends workers for snow removal efforts

Coaldale Borough recently honored the workers who plowed and removed snow from streets and alleys following recent snowstorms.

“We recognized them for all their hard work they did over the two weeks cleaning up the town,” borough council President Rosie Hoban said of the event held at the Coaldale American Legion. “We felt they should be congratulated for what they did because they worked hard, all of them. They worked endless hours nonstop. They had a plan going and they got it done.”

Hoban said the group also discussed what was done right and what might need improvement during future storms.

She said borough employees coordinated efforts with contractors.

“They worked together as a team. They didn’t do it individually — they worked together. I think that was the most important thing,” Hoban said. “That’s what I want to do, get this town working together and not apart.”
