State police at Fogelsville - crashes
State police at the Fogelsville barracks reported the following crash:
• Sharon Y. Shushinsky, 78, of Kutztown, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 9:58 p.m. Feb. 12 on Herrnhutter Strass Road, Lynn Township. She was uninjured in the incident.
Police said she was driving a 2024 Ford Bronco westbound when she failed to negotiate a curve in the road. The Bronco left the roadway, went down an embankment and overturned onto its right side.
Police said Shushinsky had to be extricated from the vehicle by personnel from the Lynn Township Fire Company. Her vehicle was towed from the scene.
Shushinsky reported no injuries but was transported by personnel from the Cetronia Ambulance Corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Campus, Salisbury Township, police said.
• Chad T. Kardohely, 25, of Kempton, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 5:38 p.m. Feb. 10 on Steinsville Road in Lynn Township. He was uninjured in the incident.
Police said he was driving a 2002 Toyota 4-Runner west when it traveled slightly off the right side of the road and then went out of control because of snow piled up along the road. They said Kardohely was unable to get the vehicle back onto the roadway before it hit a tree and rolled onto its driver’s side.
The vehicle had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
• A vehicle driven by Michaela J. Lindtner, 28, of New Tripoli, had minor damage after a hit-and-run at 8:04 a.m. Feb. 9 on Schochary Road, Lynn Township. Lindtner was uninjured in the incident.
Police said she was driving a 2023 Mazda CX-9 south when a vehicle traveling north left its lane and its driver’s side mirror hit the driver’s side mirror of the Mazda before continuing north.
The vehicle that fled was a white SUV, according to police.
