State Police at Lehighton

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police responded to an accidental shooting incident at 7:40 p.m. Feb. 13 at 7605 Interchange Road, Towamensing Township.

Police said Sonoma Devatt, 22, of Albrightsville, accidentally shot himself in the leg while carrying a firearm without a holster in his pocket.

A 2018 Ford Fusion was involved in the incident.

• A 46-year-old Jim Thorpe man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and illegal possession of a firearm after police made a traffic stop at 1:20 a.m. Feb. 14.

He was stopped in a 2013 Kia Rio for a Motor Vehicle Code violation on Interchange Road in Towamensing Township.

• A 21-year-old Bloomsburg man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of illegal substances and drug paraphernalia after police made a traffic stop at 3:40 p.m. Feb. 14.

He was stopped in a 2011 Infiniti for Title 75 violations on Blue Mountain Drive, Lower Towamensing Township.
