State police at Lehighton
State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:
• A 29-year-old woman from Kunkletown was cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to a domestic incident between and a husband and wife at 11:09 a.m. Feb. 8.
It occurred on Philmar Drive, Eldred Township.
• A 21-year-old Palmerton man was cited for criminal mischief after police responded to an incident at 7:16 a.m. Jan. 23 on Ridgeview Drive, Towamensing Township.
Police said a 48-year-old woman from Lehighton told them she saw a small fire in her backyard.
An investigation revealed the man set fire to various items in the yard, according to police, who said he admitted to starting the fire and was taken into custody.
• A 72-year-old Palmerton woman is the victim of a theft by deception incident police were called to at noon Jan. 15 on Lime Street in Bowmanstown.
She told police she received notice that her credit score dropped from 820 to 630 within a month. She said after checking the report, she found a $122 debt owed to Verizon that she did not authorize.
• A 77-year-old Lehighton woman is the victim of a theft by deception/ATM card incident reported at a property on West Sunset Road, East Penn Township.
She told police that between Feb. 6 and 9 her personal bank account debit card was stolen and used to make two purchases.
• Police said Glynnis Banks, 39, of Lansford, is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 10:55 p.m. Jan. 15.
She was stopped in a 2019 Nissan Rogue for Title 75 violations on Route 33 in Hamilton Township. She displayed signs of impairment and was found to be in possession of drugs.
• Two men were charged with assault with bodily injury after police were called to the Blue Mountain Ski Resort, Lower Towamensing Township, at 7:27 p.m. Feb. 10.
Charged were a 19-year-old man from Warrington and a 42-year-old man from Biddeford, Maine.
• A 21-year-old Saylorsburg man and two boys, ages 13 and 14, from Kunkletown, were cited for disorderly conduct after police were called to a property on Corktree Road, Polk Township, at 9:23 a.m. Jan. 24.
Police said a 57-year-old woman from Kunkletown told police the three arrived at her residence in the early morning hours and began ringing her doorbell and repeatedly banging on her door.
