Mia M. Thomas, 18, of Saylorsburg, and Taylor M. Engles, 18, of Kunkletown, were involved in a one-vehicle crash at 10:14 p.m. Feb. 5 on Scenic Drive, Polk Township, police said.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said they were transported by personnel from the Lehigh Valley Health Network EMS corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital Pocono Campus, East Stroudsburg.

Police said Thomas was the driver of a 2006 Dodge Ram pickup, with Engles as her passenger.

She was driving northbound when it struck a snowbank on the eastern side of the road.

They said Thomas was unable to maintain control of the truck, which ultimately rolled over. It had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

Thomas was cited after the crash, according to police.
