More than 400 members and guests of Groundhog Lodge No. 11 gathered for the 17th annual dinner program held at the East Penn Township Fire Company hall, Ashfield.

President Malcolm Arner presided and told his groundhog brothers a penalty of 10 cents a word would be imposed on anyone found guilty of speaking English during the festivities.

During the election of officers, Arner was renamed president. He will be joined by George R. Rex, Ashfield, secretary; and Ralph Strohl, Trachsville, treasurer.

Other lodge authorities include Franklin Strohl, Harold Greene, Allen Hunsicker, Edgar Smith, Clark Smale, Harry Lentz, George Steigerwalt, Fred Costenbader, Bert Csencsits and Charles Kuehn.
