Mrs. Agnes T. McCartney, consultant to the Carbon County Recreation Authority, resigned her post this week, citing her increased duties as deputy director of the Schuylkill-Carbon Agency for Manpower, a position she has held since 1974.

Mrs. McCartney is a former executive director of the Carbon County Planning Commission and was a prime mover in the construction of the $2-million multi-purpose Mauch Chunk Lake Park.

Mrs. McCartney was not compensated for her first 12 years as consultant, then was paid $150 per month for the last two years.

Mrs. Darlene Cunfer was appointed executive secretary at a salary of $8,500 per year. She had been the authority’s secretary at $8,000 a year.
