Jeffrey B. Clark, 38, of Laurys Station, was cited after a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 80, state police at the Hazleton barracks said.
The crash occurred at 2:36 p.m. on Feb. 2 in Nescopeck Township.
Police said Clark was driving a 2020 Nissan westbound when he began to pass a 2019 Toyota RAV4 driven by Mason W. Reber, 34, of Schuylkill Haven. They said that while attempting to pass, the Nissan hit the RAV4, which went out of control, traveled off the north side of the highway and hit two guide rails.
Police said Reber had “possible injuries” and was transported by personnel from the Geisinger EMS corps to the Geisinger Medical Center, Bloomsburg.
The Nissan had minor damage, while the RAV4 was towed from the scene.
