The Weatherly boys basketball squad pulled out an overtime victory over Lourdes on Wednesday, while the Panther Valley girls wrestling team edged Palmerton to hand the Blue Bombers their first loss of the year.
Also posting a win was the Marian girls basketball team.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Weatherly-Lourdes
Ian McKeegan scored five of his team-high 20 points in overtime to help Weatherly earn a 74-71 Schuylkill League victory over host Lourdes.
Corbin Wagner added 18 points for the Wreckers, who rallied from a 10-point halftime deficit.
The winners also received 16 points from Niko Saldukas, and 12 from Matt Adler.
Trebor Moore finished with a team-high 20 points for the Red Raiders.

Marian-Tri-Valley
Braeden Doyle’s 27-point effort was too much for Marian to overcome as Tri-Valley cruised to a 70-47 Schuylkill League victory.
The Colts stayed close for a half, trailing by just four points, but the Bulldogs pulled away after the break as Doyle posted 20 second-half points.
Greg Tirpak scored eight of his 11 points in the opening quarters, while James Cannon netted eight of his 11 after intermission.

Omar Hurt scored a game-high 17 points, and Anders Heiney added 13 to help Lehigh Valley Academy push past Panther Valley, 62-58, in non-league action.
The Jaguars outscored the Panthers 18-11 in the final quarter to gain the victory and send them to their third straight victory.
Brody Breiner paced Panther Valley with 16 points, while Danny Wehr chipped in with 12 and Chase McArdle netted 10.

A high-scoring first half helped Marian roll to a 60-30 Schuylkill League victory over visiting Tri-Valley.
Addy Marek poured in 14-first quarter points as the Fillies jumped out to a 24-2 lead.
Marek finished with a game-high 18 points, while teammate Haley Minzola added a season-high 13.
The Bulldogs were paced by Avery Miller’s 16 points.

Lourdes remained unbeaten in Schuylkill League play with a convincing 65-5 win over Weatherly.
Hannah Lokitis sparked a 25-point third quarter for the Red Raiders, pouring in 13 of her game-high 17 points.
The winners also received 16 points from Sophia Karlovic.
Maci Kane led the Wreckers with three points.

Panther Vy.-Palmerton
Brenda Banks delivered a clinching pin as Panther Valley rallied for a 42-36 non-league victory over Palmerton.
Banks, the defending state champion who is 24-0 with 19 falls, recorded a pin over Nicole Jennings in 20 seconds to end the match. The Panthers won the final five matches — three by forfeit.
Amelia Spino (118), and Aneila Bennick (170) also notched pins for Panther Valley, while Paige Kibler (112) and Nickayla Tomsic (142) both registered falls for Palmerton, which dropped its first match of the season.

In a meet that also saw the Crimson Tide post wins over Schuylkill Haven, the Colts fell by a 78-43 score while the Fillies dropped an 87-35 decision.
Michael Strucko (200 freestyle, 100 backstroke), Andrew Metters (50 freestyle, 100 breaststroke) and Lydia Strucko (200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke) all posted two individual win for Marian.
